Speech Bubbles Story FUNd
Your story, brought to life. Raising voices, raising funds.
Help us raise £20,000 for Speech Bubbles in 2026–27 through Story FUNd, our celebration of stories and storytelling.
There are two ways to take part:
1. Write a story
Write your own story, or write one as a special gift for someone else. Send it to us and one of our professional performers will bring it to life as an audio recording to share online. Make a donation to Speech Bubbles (suggested amount £50).
2. Gift someone a story-writing experience
Buy a Story FUNd slot for someone else and give them the chance to write their own story and hear it brought to life. We’ll send you a gift pack with a gift card, everything they need to take part, and story-writing prompts to spark their imagination.

Story Teller Guidelines
We want the Story FUNd to be creative, imaginative and fun. To help us share every story proudly, please ensure your submission:
Is no more than 450 words and submitted as a Word document.
Is your own original work (please do not submit AI-generated stories).
Is suitable for a general audience, including children.
Is respectful and inclusive, avoiding discriminatory, harmful or offensive content.
Does not include confidential, private or identifying information about real people without permission.
If you're unsure whether your idea is suitable, please get in touch. Otherwise, have fun and write boldly - we can't wait to bring your story to life.
Your Performer
Stories are usually matched at random to one of our talented performers. If you feel a particular voice or lived experience would bring your story to life, you're welcome to tell us.
Our performer pool is small, so we can't guarantee a perfect match, but we'll always do our best to honour your intention with care.
